Customers needs

The kitchen felt crammed into the smallest room of the property and badly in need of updating from the dark wood cabinets and impractical layout. She wanted to create her new kitchen in a dining/living space and convert the existing kitchen into a utility room. With lofty ceilings and a larder cupboard, she wanted to maximise storage and optimise the flow of the kitchen.

Constraints

The chimney breast and the awkward corners meant we would have to come up with creative solutions to solve this problem

Our solution

The new kitchen was placed inside the existing dining/ live space and we converted the old kitchen into a utility room.

To maximise the storage space top box cabinets on some of the units and also had a countertop cupboard custom made to make use of the awkward corner space.

To keep some of the original features of the property a glass cabinet was also built into the existing Edinburgh press, keeping it a focal point in the room
