Customers needs

maximise the space in their large kitchen area by extending cabinetry into the dining area. They wanted ample seating for their extended family to dine

Constraints

They wanted ample seating for their extended family to dine, and were keen to hide away appliances such as the toaster. A Butlers pantry with storage for herbs and spices was high on the wish list, along with a boiling water tap.

Our solution

We removed the peninsula from the kitchen, which had previously split the room. Instead, we added a large island unit, which ensured a flow from the functional kitchen area into the dining space. We made use of the breadth of the room to incorporate a Butlers pantry, a fabulous wine cabinet and pull out storage. We also created a custom bureau, with ample drawers and a glass fronted cabinet for glassware.
