Customers needs

Converting a garage space to be a self-contained studio for elderly parents. As the dominant feature, the kitchen needed to set the overall mood of the space while keeping the overall feel of the room to be welcoming and comfortable.

Constraints

Making sure the layout and fixtures would be convenient and safe for an elderly couple. A small space that needs to have clearly defined areas for cooking & eating, relaxing and sleeping.

Our solution

Careful colour consultancy created a tranquil and attractive space. Thoughtful lighting design provides lighting zones with adjustable levels. Bright task lighting in the kitchen area can be switched to soft lighting when relaxing or eating.
